We seek that our employees’ wives start their own sustainable businesses. To do this, we created the project "Enterprising Families", in collaboration with the Kunan social entrepreneurship platform and its fashion brand Qaytu. With them, we were able to enable our employees’ wives to develop the necessary technical skills to start their own businesses.
The first pilot of this social entrepreneurship was born in Mollendo, where a group of our collaborators’ wives created their own brand of clothing and accessories based on disused fishing nets, under the brand “Marea”. In December 2019 they launched their first line of beach accessories and cover ups.
In 2020, another 3 entrepreneurship pilots will be developed in the northern part of Peru.
